RECIPES & HINTS

You use the Omnia to bake directly over the heat from your cooker. If you can do it in a regular oven - heat, bake or cook - you can do it in an Omnia. Think of it just like any other oven.

You don’t need special recipes for the Omnia. Use your own favourites or try one of the recipes here on the website. Four recipes are included in the package.

All types of casseroles turn out beautifully in the Omnia. Some people even think potatoes dauphinoise turn out better in the Omnia than in a regular oven. That also applies to ready-made casseroles and other baked dishes. And bake-off breads like mini-baguettes and croissants are even easier and more convenient with the Omnia Oven Rack.

You should always generously grease the Omnia Pan and flour it too when you are baking. Bake on low heat and figure about the same times as in a regular oven. Remember, the heat output of cookers varies, which will affect the heat of the Omnia. If this is the first time you are using your Omnia, we recommend that you test it with a simple recipe, such as a ready-made cake batter, to figure out the right heat for your particular stove.

Fill the Omnia Pan halfway up when you are going to bake things that will rise, like bread and cakes. You can fill the pan a bit higher with foods that do not rise, but never more than one inch (a couple of cm) below the top. If the Omnia Pan is too full, the food may burn at the bottom before it is done at the top.
