Upper oven rack

Cook two delicious dishes at the same time

Cook one dish in the bottom of the mold and another above. You save gas and time, and use fewer dishes.

Depending on what you’re cooking, what’s on the rack can add flavor and seasoning to what’s at the bottom of the mold.

Use

Some examples of how you can use the upper rack.

Distribute the potatoes and vegetables in the bottom of the mold. Make small slits in some spicy sausages and place the sausages on the upper rack. The flavor from the sausages will then season the potatoes and vegetables at the bottom. Another option is marinated chicken, which adds flavor to the vegetables and potatoes.

Yet another option is to bake small sweet tomatoes in oil and herbs at the bottom while toasting slices of bread on the rack above.

You can also cook a gratin or pie in the bottom of the mold and cook vegetables on the top rack at the same time. Or why not make a breakfast omelet in the bottom while you finish bread for breakfast on the rack.
